First Aid for Life (Appointed Person)
The Course:
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require businesses to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable them to meet the necessary first aid requirements. This includes ensuring you have appropriately trained first aiders on your staff who will always be available in an emergency to provide medical assistance to any casualties until expert help arrives.
Anyone deemed responsible for the safety of workers and personnel in your workplace should have sufficient training to offer basic first aid and control and maintain first aid facilities on site. The First Aid for Life course delivered by Safety Problem Solutions is a one day course designed to train your appointed first aiders to an acceptable standard.
The course is structured to include tutorials, practical demonstrations and continuous assessments, ensuring that by the end of the course the learners will be confident in a variety of first aid techniques. Please be aware that this course does not give fully qualified first aider status.
