Scaffolders, supervisors and managers of scaffolding employees, sub-contractors and anyone who is required to inspect safety harnesses.
Aims and Objectives
To enable operative, maintenance and inspection staff to safely erect, use and inspect lightweight access towers.
Content:
- Proper fitting of harnesses
- Connection equipment and anchor points
- Care and maintenance of harnesses
- Inspection of harnesses and recording requirements
- Shock-absorbing lanyards/fall arrest blocks
Knowledge:
At the end of the course, delegates will:
- Understand why fall arrest equipment is needed
- Understand what type of harness should be worn by scaffolders, roofers etc.
- Know when an operative should be clipped on
- Appreciate how the use of harness will affect working methods
