Who should attend?

All personnel involved in constructing or working from lightweight access towers.

Aims and Objectives

To enable operative, maintenance and inspection staff to safely erect, use and inspect lightweight access towers to CITB standard.

Content:

  • Safe Working at Heights
  • The Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations
  • Recognition of Components and their applications
  • Provision bracing, ties, toe-boards and hand-rails
  • Selection, erection and dismantling
  • Use of outriggers, sole plates and ties
  • Techniques for repositioning erected towers

Training Method:

A high proportion of practical exercises supplemented by classroom based tutorials.
