Crawler Tractor/Dozer Training
|
Course Objectives:-
- Basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges
- Use of the operator’s handbook, etc
- Pre-use running checks and close-down procedure
- Preparing the dozer for site travel
- Travelling the dozer over differing types of terrain, including rough undulating ground and substantial inclines
- Manoeuvring progressing to confined spaces in a forward and reverse direction
- Precautions and actions for underground services and other hazards
- How to form stockpiles by cutting below ground
- How to cut, side-cast and spread materials using the blade at angles
- Checking the integrity and security of the load
- Spread and level stockpiles to given specifications
- Placing the dozer in an out-of-service condition
- Loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter
- Trained operator achievement test

Novice - Ten days; Experienced - One day assessment

You must have your own machine or have access to hire and carry out training on your own grounds / or PTP to hire for our own site.
